Partner with the Murphy Family

Would you like to partner with Ryan, Morgan, Rosie & Hoxton to catalyze nonstop prayer that leads to mission & justice in ATL?

We would love to invite you to consider joining our partnership team to help give birth to the vision that we feel God has laid on our hearts, both for the sake of our family and for the sake of the city in which God has planted us.

After a series of prophetic words, encounters, and dreams, we feel that God is inviting us to plant an expression of 24-7 Prayer in Atlanta, GA. 24-7 Prayer USA has recently asked me (Ryan) to serve as the City Coordinator here, and we are taking this as confirmation that this is the next kingdom assignment for our family.

But, we need to raise support to cover the cost of a salary! We are looking to raise $15,000 in monthly partnerships to cover our personal needs as well as the start-up costs of this ministry. Practically, we are hoping to find 30-50 strategic partners (either individuals, churches, or organizations) who can commit to partnering with:

  • $500+/month for the next two years (Strategic Partners)

  • Lesser monthly partnerships ($50, $100, $250 or more) for the next two years(Friends and Family Partners)

  • One-time gifts to give us the confidence to step into this new kingdom assignment (Anyone)

Would you consider praying about being one of these strategic partners?

With love,

Ryan, Morgan, Rosie, & Hoxton

PARTNER HERE

How is this giving tax-deductive?

Ryan & Morgan have started a non-profit ministry called Restless Hearts, Resting Places with a mission to inspire spiritual awakening through prayer (website coming soon). We have applied for 501c3 status, and as we await approval with the IRS, Faith Formation Project has agreed to serve as a fiscal sponsor, meaning your gifts are tax-deductible whether or not our status is approved. (Faith Formation Project is run by a local ATL church pastor, Mitch Rumppe, who is passionate about seeing a house of prayer in our city).

Ryan and Morgan will be paid as the Co-Directors of Restless Hearts, Resting Places, which is subject to the oversight of a governing board for financial accountability. Since the mission of the organization is to inspire spiritual awakening through prayer, the first task of the organization will be to allocate resources towards establishing 24-7 Prayer ATL as its own separate 501c3 organization. Thus, a portion of your giving will go to income for the Murphy family and a portion will go towards costs for 24-7 Prayer ATL — administrative fees, leadership training, space rental, etc. — all at the discretion of our governing board.

If you’d like more details about how this all works or would like to see a detailed budget breakdown, please feel free to schedule a call with me!

The Vision //

We want to ignite spiritual awakening in our region by uniting churches and nonprofit organizations in prayer for our city. Our long-term vision is to establish a full-time house of prayer in and for our city that will host united prayer meetings, serve as a center of missional training, and as a space for works of justice among the unhoused and underresourced in our midtown urban core.

The Need //

At the moment, there is no citywide prayer movement in Atlanta and no house of prayer serving the urban core. Simultaneously, the city is growing at a surprising rate, has become a center for creativity and enterprise as movies and TV shows produce more and more content here, and continues to serve as a gateway in the Southern region of America. Additionally, the city’s population is expected to grow by 2 million people by 2050. God has raised up several praying churches across the region that desire united for prayer for awakening in our region, yet no one is currently stepping in to unite these different people and movements.

So Far //

Since God planted this vision in us in the Summer of 2022, we have hosted two 24-7 prayer weeks catalyzing over 200 people to participate in 336 hours of nonstop prayer for our city. We have gathered hundreds in monthly Prayer Room nights inspiring people to pray for awakening in our city, and taken over 100 people through various prayer discipleship processes and classes that have produced a deep level of transformation. We have drawn the attention of leaders and individuals throughout the city who are longing for a citywide house of prayer, as well as the national attention of 24-7 Prayer USA. God is also beginning to call a team: at present, we have a Prayer Director, a Mission & Justice Director, a Worship & Creative Director, and a College Director who are all waiting for Morgan and I to step in as full-time directors to give leadership to this growing group.

What’s Next //

Our primary goal in the next few months is to begin to invite people to this vision of catalyzing nonstop prayer that leads to mission and justice in our city. To do this, we will continue to strategically network with leaders in the city. We are going to begin to host Prayer Room Nights at different venues calling people to nonstop prayer through a daily rhythm of morning, noon, and night prayer. We will then begin to host morning, noon, and night prayer watches, and our primary ministry will be to identify, train, and support prayer watch leaders as well as prayer directors from local churches. We are currently in conversation with at least five local churches, as well as Peace Prep Academy, and Midtown Young Life, who are all excited about this new venture and dreaming about how we can serve them in prayer in a mutually beneficial way. Additionally, a door has opened up for a potential permanent prayer space at a community resource center serving the refugee community in Clarkston, GA — what is commonly referred to as the most diverse square mile in America.
